About Kathy Scott
Kathy Scott is the author and founder of JP Media Group LLC, an independent publisher of autism-friendly children's books and a debut memoir on healing and resilience. A mother, writer, and advocate, Kathy brings warmth, honesty, and hard-earned wisdom to every event — whether she's reading to a classroom of first graders or speaking to a room of parents and educators.
Her picture-book series, JP's Journey, follows a bright young boy on the autism spectrum as he navigates everyday experiences like getting a first phone, visiting a bowling alley, and cheering at a basketball game. Her adult memoir, From Silent Pain to Bold Power, is a raw and powerful account of reclaiming one's voice after trauma.

Kathy reads from the JP's Journey series and answers student questions about writing, autism, and being yourself.
Autism awareness assembly (45 min)
A whole-grade or school-wide presentation built around inclusion, kindness, and sensory awareness. Ideal for April (Autism Awareness Month).
Creative writing workshop (60 min)
For older elementary students. Kathy walks kids through how she developed JP's stories from real life.
